One Person can make a difference in the life of a child.
Our children need you! Being a volunteer is a rewarding experience. There are many available volunteer opportunities to choose from special events, tutoring, mentoring or on campus beautification projects! When you give your time to a child in need, you are making a lifetime impact helping to break the cycle of abuse and neglect.

Ways You Can Volunteer
Sponsor a Birthday Party
Remember your best birthday memory? Maybe it was breaking a piñata and running to collect as much candy as possible, going bowling or someone singing "Happy Birthday" to you? For many of our residents, this is something they had never experienced until they arrived at Boysville. If your group or organization is looking for a way to get involved, this is a great opportunity to make a lasting memory for our children.
Tutors Needed
Are you a Math or Science whiz? Can you design an awesome diorama? Do you believe in the art of storytelling? The school season has begun and we need tutors! Boysville holds study hall in our campus library Monday-Thursday. The elementary students gather from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.; the middle school students from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.; and high school students from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. We especially need tutors who are knowledgeable in Math and Science in all grades, as well as Spanish tutors.
Volunteers Needed in the Infant & Toddler Emergency Shelter
Volunteers are needed seven days a week from 10:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. to assist with the care of children in the Infant & Toddler Emergency Shelter. Children in the Baby Shelter range in age from newborn to 5 years old. Volunteers will interact with the children by playing with them, taking them for walks, joining them on the playground, rocking the infants, etc. They may also assist the child care staff by folding clothes, cleaning toys and more.
