cpriesmeyer@boysvilletexas.org Precious Minds Parenting Program --Boysville offers two community outreach parent enrichment programs. The enrichment classes are for parents, extended family members, and childcare providers, caring for children ages prenatal through 12 years of age. Both parenting programs use curriculum that are research based. As we all know, effective parenting helps to prepare children for success in school and to improve the quality of life for children and their families in general. Both programs are site based and are free of charge to all participants.
Precious Minds, New Connections uses a curriculum which has a strong focus on parenting newborns to three-year olds and emphasizes brain development throughout this critical time of a child’s growth. This program is funded by a grant from the Kronkosky Charitable Foundation to support outreach efforts to parents and childcare providers of very young children.
Precious Minds Parenting Initiative is a parent education program to equip parents and childcare providers of children between the ages of four and 12 years of age with the skills they need to parent effectively. The curriculum is designed to enhance and strengthen families by educating them on the fundamentals of child development and the importance of the parent-child relationship.
