Boysville is proud to offer the Precious Minds, New Connections community-outreach, parent-enrichment program. These enrichment classes are for parents, extended family members and childcare providers caring for children ages prenatal through 3 years of age. Parenting education can make the biggest difference as it enables parents to understand early childhood development and have realistic expectations for a child’s behavior.  The curriculum is designed to empower and enrich parents’ lives. Our certified educators facilitate the sessions using a fun, interactive and positive approach to learning throughout all 20 hours of research-based instruction.

Precious Minds, New Connections uses a curriculum based on extensive research into early childhood development.  Its strong focus on parenting newborns to 3 year olds emphasizes brain development throughout this critical time of a child’s growth. The first three years of a person’s life are truly the most formative years and affect the future potential of every person. It is critical that every parent and caregiver of infants and toddlers have access to the information and tools needed to make their child’s first three years as productive and positive as possible. As we all know, effective parenting helps to prepare children for success in school and to improve the quality of life for children and their families in general.
